Asphalt
and Fiberglass Roofs
Initial cleaning of your roof
If you’re not thrilled with the results,
it’s free. We warranty that we will be able to remove the
black streaks and stains from your roof. We are unable and do
not warranty removal of rust stains. If you are not happy
with our initial results, please contact us so we may clean
the problems areas a second time. If after our second visit
we are unable to remove the stains to your satisfaction, you
are not obligated to pay for our service.

An exception to this is where the roof shingle
installation had different shingle batches (or production
runs) installed without mixing the batches. If the batches
were not commingled during installation, the roof can have a
different appearance from one batch to another. This does not
affect the integrity of your roof. It can however affect the
appearance of the roof. The different batches may be viewable
once the roof is clean. In this event, one of our people will
inspect the roof and show where this has occurred. Keep in
mind this is a very rare occurrence.
How long will my asphalt roof remain
streak and stain free
We warranty that your roof will stay
streak and stain free for years 5 years. However, each roof
has its own time frame depending on many different factors.
If within 5 years the streaks and stains return, Roof-to-Deck
Restoration will re-clean your roof at a prorated price using
the following example.
·
Original price of the project was $500.00
·
Contact was made by the customer 3 years after
the project was completed
·
Roof is expected to remain streak and stain free
for 5 years
·
.6 (36 months divided by 60 months) multiplied
by $500.00 would result in a charge of $300.00
Cedar
Shake and Cedar Shingle Roofs
Shake and Shingle Replacement
We warranty to replace missing
shakes/shingles for 5 years from the restoration of your cedar
roof. If during that time a cedar shake/shingle falls off, we
will return and replace the missing shake/shingle at no cost.

The exception to this warranty is if the roof
has been determined to have worn out or to has reached the end
of its useful life
·
This warranty does not apply to damage of any
kind whether man made, natural aging, weather related or any
other type of damage. Storm or weather damage of any kind is
not covered by this warranty
Leaks
In the event a leak occurs within 5 years
of our restoration of your roof, we will come out and, to the
best of our ability, diagnose what is causing the leak. If
the leak can be remedied through caulking, we will caulk the
area at no charge. We will make only one visit to diagnose
and caulk a leak. If the roof needs to be repaired in some
fashion, our then current repair rate will apply. If we are
unable to diagnose or repair the leak, a qualified roofing
contractor should be contacted at the homeowner’s expense to
remedy the problem. Roof-to-Deck Restoration will in no way
be responsible for any leaks or the damage they may cause or
for any cost to repair said leak. We are not responsible for
leaking skylight/s.
Moss, algae and mildew growth
If moss, algae and mildew growth begins
to reform within 5 years of our restoration of your roof, the
customer may request the roof to be treated or re-cleaned on a
prorated basis. Roof-to-Deck Restoration at its option may
choose to treat the infected area or areas with an organic
moss/mold/algae killer called Moss Buster. The following is a
prorated example:

Moss returns 44 months after restoration of your
cedar roof
·
We inspect the roof and agree that the roof
needs to be treated or re-cleaned. It is possible that we may
not agree or we may determine that only a portion of the cedar
roof needs to be treated or re-cleaned
·
The price to re-clean and re-seal the roof would
be calculated as follows:
o
Original price to restore the cedar roof was
$4,208
o
44 months have elapsed since restoration. 44
months divided by 60 months equals .73
o
.73 multiplied by $4,208 equals $3,071.84
o
However, it may be possible to spot clean the
roof and the necessary measurements will be taken and then the
above calculations will be applied to the specified area
Stain color on cedar roofs
If your
restoration project included staining your cedar roof, we
warranty the color of the stain for 5 years. We do not
warranty any product chosen by the customer.
It should
be noted that roof areas that face more of the sun will wear
much faster than areas that do not receive as much sun. It is
also important to know that by the end of 5 years the roof
will need to be restored. Do not expect the roof to look the
same for 5 years after it has been stained. Cedar roofs are
subjected to the sun’s UV rays, rain, snow, algae and mildew
in addition to other factors that will degrade the color over
time. Our warranty is not intended to imply that the roof
will retain its original color for the full 5 years.
The calculation
above will be used in the event the customer would like their
roof re-cleaned and re-stained within 5 years of restoration.

We inspect the roof and agree that the roof
needs to be treated or re-stained. It is possible that we may
not agree or we may determine that only a portion of the cedar
roof needs to be treated or re-stained
Wood Decks/Fences/Gazebos/Play Systems/Docks/Porches/Pergolas and other outdoor wood
Cracking and/or Peeling
We warranty that our sealer/stain (Ready
Seal) will not crack or peel on horizontal surfaces for 2
years and for 4 years on vertical surfaces (spindles, support
posts, fascia, etc.). We do not warranty any product chosen
by the customer.

Ready Seal is a penetrating sealer/stain that
soaks into the wood that will wear away over time. It should
not come off by pealing. In some cases where the wood is new
or unusually wet, the sealer/stain may peel off. In that
event Roof-to-Deck Restoration will remove the old stain from
the peeling areas and re-stain. This typically only occurs on
horizontal surfaces. In this example the floor and steps
would be re-stripped and resealed/stained. We would not
re-strip and re-seal the vertical areas such as the spindles,
supports posts, fascia, etc.
If within 2 years the walking surfaces of
the deck begin to peel, Roof-to-Deck Restoration will re-clean
your walking surfaces at a prorated price using the following
example.
· Original price of the project was $600.00
·
The floor portion of the deck was $300.00
·
Contact was made by the customer 12 months after
the project was restored
·
Horizontal surfaces are expected to last 2 years
·
.5 (12 months divided by
24 months) multiplied by $300.00 is $150.00 to re-clean and
re-stain the walking surfaces
We do not warranty any paint, sealer or stain other than
Ready Seal.
Stain color
We warranty the stain color for 2 years
on the horizontal surfaces and 4 years on the vertical
surfaces. It should be noted that traffic areas will wear
much faster than less traveled areas. It is also important to
know that within 2 years, the floor, in most, cases is
definitely going to need to be restored. Do not expect the
floor to look the same for 2 years after it has been stained.
Considering the environment of a horizontal surface, subjected
to rain and snow, that is almost impossible. This warranty
allows people to keep their floor looking good at a reduced
price if they so choose. Our warranty is not intended to
imply that the floor will retain its original color for the
full 2 years.

directly above
·
Spindles are warranted for 4 years. However, an
inspection is required by Roof-to-Deck Restoration before
approval to determine if the color on spindles is failing or
simply needs to be freshened up. If it is determined the
spindles simply need to be freshened up, the warranty will not
apply.
Sap and other contaminants
Sap and other contaminants are a product
of the wood and of the environment. There is no way to
protect against these contaminants. However, Roof-to-Deck
Restoration will warranty against these types of
contaminants. It will be handled on a case by case basis and
will require an inspection by a Roof-to-Deck Restoration
person. In most cases, the prorated example explained above
will apply.
Hardwoods
South American wood such as Epay,
Ironwood and Tigerwood in most cases will need to be cleaned
and sealed/stained every year. The wood is so dense that the
stain simply is not able to penetrate as deeply. It is
expected that these woods will need to be cleaned and resealed
yearly. The prorated example explained above will apply.
Black mold and mildew
Black mold and mildew is spreading and is
becoming a bigger problem as time goes by. Roof-to-Deck
Restoration warranties against mold and mildew growth for 2
years on all restored surfaces. The prorated example above
will apply.
Log
Home and Cedar Sided Homes
Stain color
We
warranty the stain color for 5 years (Ready Seal) on
vertical siding surfaces. We do not warranty any product
chosen by the customer. The following example is how
the prorated warranty will apply. It should be noted
that areas that face the sun will wear much faster
than areas that do not receive as much sun. It is
also important to know that by the end of 5 years the
siding will need to be restored. Do not expect the
siding to look the same for 5 years after it has been
stained. Exterior siding is subjected to the sun’s UV
rays, rain, snow, algae and mildew in addition to
other factors that will degrade the color over time.
Our warranty is not intended to imply that the siding
will retain its original color for the full 5 years.

House
Washing and Concrete Cleaning
We do not offer warranties for house
washing or concrete cleaning. It is expected that a house may
need to be cleaned annually depending on the homes
surroundings. Concrete may need to be cleaned annually,
semi-annually or even monthly depending on the traffic and the
specific use of the concrete.
Ice
Dams
Ice Dams are not covered by any
warranty. Typically the conditions that form ice dams do not
repeat within the same year or season. However, there have
been exceptions to this where an ice dam has been fully
removed and then the weather conditions repeat and forms a
completely new ice dam that again needs to be removed.
